The work is defined by bright tones, gestural brushstrokes and poetic text. It focuses on the physicality of painting as she continues to explore the recurrent theme in her work of ‘body memory’ and how it affects the way we navigate the world through the ages.

Daisy Chains || Data Trails expands on the recurrent theme in Ciara Tuite’s practice ”body memory’. In this exhibition she explores ‘old practices’ and ‘ancient rituals’ which are embedded in our DNA Modern technology can’t replace the act of mark-making, storytelling, dance etc. In our ever-evolving world, the artist uses painting, text and installation as a conduit to ask the question – how can ancient rituals and digital culture walk side by side to promote peace? What if stone skimming, and barefoot walking are a necessity rather than a novelty to thrive in todays world? What if for a moment we swapped the screen for the sky?

The work brings you on journey into the past to reignite what is deep within our bones – an innate sense of knowing. It offers a fresh perspective on the future – where old and new practices run parallel, equal in measure. Within this co-existence perhaps new versions can be formed while simultaneously honouring our ancestors and their strong connection with the elements. It is the artists intention to encourage the unearthing of a knowledge that lies dormant within us all.
