A wind of emotions blew endlessly through my mind. Mysterious objects emerged in the darkness. In dreams, they took form and later appeared before the viewer floating in the air, as if drawn out from the body itself.
Brain and Wind was an exhibition in which these emotional creatures inhabited the installation space at Ballina Arts Centre, their presence realised through a series of floating sculptures. I hoped the audience would feel as though they were wandering inside my head, encountering fragments of their own emotions along the way perhaps thinking, “It’s strange but funny” or “I feel like I knew these creatures.”
