‘Two Notes for Home’ Terry McDonagh

December 15, 2022 @ 7:00 pm

Anticipation is building amongst poets, writers, and literature lovers as the much travelled
Mayo poet and dramatist Terry McDonagh launches his new poetry collection – ‘Two Notes
for Home’ at Ballina Arts Centre, on Thursday, 15th December, at 7pm.
Join Terry for a reading and get-together to celebrate the publication of his latest poetry
collection. He will recite excerpts from his book in his legendary dulcet tones which never
fail to bring images to life and he has the knack to fire up the imagination in the only way
McDonagh can do.
Terry says: “More than half of the poems included in this collection are set in Mayo. When
you come from the hills, you take the hills with you.” Terry pulls together his experiences of
having grown up in Mayo; having left it for Germany and returned – hence the title, ‘Two
Notes for Home’.
Terry McDonagh, is a poet and dramatist of international acclaim, and this new collection
‘Two Notes for Home’, published by Arlen House, will be launched by the renowned Terry
Reilly, author and historian. It will really be an evening not to be missed.
