Ox Mountain Poets

 The Ox Mountain Poets, based in Ballina, County Mayo, Ireland, were founded in December 2013 by Jean Folan, Jack Grady, Val McLoughlin, Marian Heemskerk, Jane Dunn, Peter Timlin, and Jimmy Delaney. Its Facebook group of the same name came into existence in 2014.

This group provides information and news related to the Ox Mountain Poets from the North Mayo and West Sligo area of Ireland.

In addition, the group provides information related to other literary, cultural, and artistic activities in the area. Poetry in general is also discussed in the group, and people from other parts of Ireland, as well as from other countries, are also welcome if they have an interest in and an appreciation of poetry.

The Ox Mountain Poets meet up in the Ballina Arts Centre on Tuesdays from 10a.m to 1p.m.
